Hi, Tony et al-
  I don't think there is ever a reason to "pull the plug" on Pride
Coalition.  I am more than willing to help organize lectures, brown bags,
and other educational ventures on a variety of queer issues.  I think,
however, that after the discussions with Rebecca Gallogly in the autumn I
was waiting to see what the students wanted to do (and I am sorry that I
had a conflict with the one meeting that was scheduled this quarter). 
  In addition, I think that there are probably communication issues that
need to be dealt with.  I don't think the uwtpride listserv reaches a
large number of people (the last time I looked at the list, it was a very
few people and it was mostly staff and faculty).  Until there is an
established core group of members, I think that publicity has to be done
as widely as possible and as often as possible.
  Perhaps, we need to begin spring quarter with a general interest meeting
that is widely advertised.  At that meeting, the mission of the Pride
Coalition should be discussed and perhaps clarified and folks should
offer ideas on how to proceed.  It seems like we've done this before, but
it never hurts to try again.
