Our next _formal_ meeting is tentatively scheduled for October 10th in Portland, so save that date. We are planning a session on "Learning Indexing: Looking at the Options," and hope to have samples of all the indexing training materials available, including videos, USDA, and BIPT materials. What I would suggest is for the informal meetings, one person in each area volunteer for checking out a suitable place, and stating a time for gathering. I would suggest Saturdays or Sundays or evenings, so that everyone can make it - those seem to be the best times. Start with a get together over lunch, and see how many folks can make it. Someplace like the Still Life in Seattle, or the Coffee place others have mentioned, where you can just grab some tables and push them together, and not make reservations. Flexibility is key.... Look for more details on the October meeting soon - we have a few little things still to iron out. Jan Wright At 09:29 PM 7/22/98 -0700, you wrote: >Informal gatherings sound like a great idea.
