S. Department of State. Interested students may pick up an application booklet at our office in 301 Loew. The Department of State annually sponsors internships in which highly qualified junior, senior, and graduate students have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of American foreign affairs. These internships are open only to American citizens who are currentlyt enrolled, and are full-time and part-time students in accredited educational institutions who will return to school immediately following the internship. Applications must be postmarked or hand delivered by the following application deadlines: 1998 Summer Internship - November 1, 1997 1998 Fall Internship - March 1, 1998 1999 Spring Internship - July 1, 1998 To obtain more information, contact the U.
