I don't have details on Tri Cities, but it sounds like an ITT and a TTT on Saturday afternoon and a Crit on Sunday morning. There will be an event in Seattle on Sunday the 26th--Brian Carver and Rob Whitacre scrambled and put together a points race, which will be run on road bikes on Marymoor Velodrome. It should be interesting and will provide some of you with an introduction to the track. I realize that the flyer on the web page is barely readable--if I can get another link, I will replace it. Every event except for Ti Cities has a link on the web page(http://users.moscow.com/wykoff) and I will put up the Tri Cities info as soon as it is available. We need to come to a decision on scoring. We will use the official collegiate points schedule and count up to 4 scores in each category (Men A, B, and C and Women A and B). There are a total of 15 events with 12 events for individuals (three of the events are TTT's). The Conference Championship event in Walla Walla will count for everyone. That leaves 10 individual events and 12 team events and I propose that we allow teams and individuals to throw out a total of three scores for determining the conference championships. Let me know if you have other thoughts on this matter. National Championships are on the weekend of May 14-16 in Athens Ohio and I don't have any info on our conference allotment as yet. I suspect it will be pretty close to what we had last year. If you want to declare that your school will compete as a Division II School (total enrollment < 15000 OR teams with fewer than 15 members--see bylaw 4.3.1) I need to respond to the National Coordinator by Mar. 17th with division status--if I don't hear otherwise, you will be Division I. There will be separate National Championship fields and awards for Division II Schools and this will be true for Mountain Bike as well. I also want to take this opportunity to welcome back Walla Walla College. See you in Seattle on the 25th Regards, Bill .
