Are you around on Monday or Tuesday? -----Original Message----- From: Health Maps [mailto:healthmaps@home.com] Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2001 4:19 PM To: WAPHGIS Cc: Seto, Edfmund Subject: WAPHGIS: Pocket PC: Migrating a GPS App from the Desktop to embedded Visual Basic 3.0 I ran across this intriguing article while searching the Microsoft web site. The author talks about using Visual Basic on a desktop/laptop machine to collect the input from his Delorme TripMate GPS and plot locations, then how to migrate this application to his WindowsCE device. He admits that this is not the most robust application, but the fact that it gives you a blueprint, so to speak, for building a higher end application I found very interesting indeed. I'm not necessarily seeking comments about the article, but just wanted to pass it along as something of general interest to the list. http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/01/01/GPS/GPS.asp Rod Wing Wisconsin Department of Transportation rodney.wing@dot.state.wi.us .
