This year's program includes a keynote address by Dr. Thomas Kunz of Boston University (1998 recipient of the C. Hart Merriam Award) and special symposia on marine mammals ("Marine Mammals: The Next Century", Dr. Paul Anderson, chair) and methods for studying bats ("Acoustic Sampling of Bats: Use of Modern Bat Detectors", Dr. William Gannon, chair).
