There's some climbing involved, too. Mercer's interior is covered with short steep hills, too, so you can add 5 or 10 miles with quality climbing just by exploring. Some of them, though, are STEEP climbs! If you're feeling adventurous, and have the means to do it, I'd recommend starting out in North Bend and exploring the backroads out there.
