Gray To: Undisclosed recipients: ; Subject: JESUS LIVES! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT <>< IMPORTANT <>< IMPORTANT <>< IMPORTANT Please forward this e-mail to as many Christians as possible. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. God is stirring the hearts of the students at the University of Washington, please join us, as Christians from all denominations unite to see the Lord Jesus Christ exalted on our campus! He is the blessed and only Savior. Pray, pray, pray. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal) Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT: Christians uniting together to worship God for two nights straight. The worship will be completely student-led, and between the two segments of worship the everlasting gospel message of Jesus Christ will be preached by students. This will be done with short segments (2 min.) of the JESUS video and students preaching in between the segments. Christian students will bring their friends and see them respond to the altar call, as students pray with them to become a follower of Jesus Christ! WHEN: Monday and Tuesday nights, MAY 17-18, 7pm (pre-service prayer at 6pm) WHERE: Kane Hall, Room 130, University of Washington WHO: You, and your non-Christian friends (IMPORTANT- please bring your non-Christian friends with you, the gospel will be very clearly presented with love...they must hear this message!) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEXT LEADERS MEETING: (everybody is encouraged to come...that means you!) Monday, April 26 (Next Monday!) 6pm, HUB steps facing Suzallo library -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a call for laborers in the harvest fields of the University of Washington to unite their hands and their hearts for two nights to see the kingdom of God extended on our campus. God desires that none should perish. The Bible says that heaven and hell are real places, and that the ONLY way to receive everlasting life in paradise is through faith in Jesus Christ. How will the lost souls on our campus hear, unless we tell them this glorious truth (read Romans 10)? It's the Holy Spirit's job to convict people and draw them to the Father, and it's our job to spread the messagewhat a privilege! We need your help! God has invested certain gifts and talents in you that many others do not have. One person can make an influence, but a whole generation can change the world! Now is the time for the believers to work as a team, to see God's kingdom march forward with love and victory. There are lots of avenues to get involved with. Students working together from different ministries have assembled themselves into teams to work on this project together, these include: Prayer Network, Worship, Altar Workers/Follow Up, Advertising, Ministry Networking, Reservations, and Fundraising. This is simply students who love Jesus Christ working together in unity to see Him touch many lives and receive the glory for His awesome power! Please join with us next Monday, and see God take the gifts that He has placed within you and use them to bless many people. Let us focus on God and what He is doing. Let us join Him in His work of reaching the lost. Let us be united with the bond of perfectionlove. Let us push forward and not draw back. Let us believe and not doubt. Let us be faithful to what God has called us to do, and see Him faithfully touch individual lives. Let us believe the Holy Bible and the glorious truths within. Let us focus on the head, Jesus Christ, and be united together in producing a fragrant aroma of worship and obedience that will ascend into the heavenlies before His awesome throne!
