I am currently in New York state attending to serious family health issues involving my parents. (I am staying at their apartment.) I have not been employed since 7/98 (as the Housing Director at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, WA) and will soon need to work at some type of temporary position (for financial reasons) until I return to Washington this summer. My belongings are presently being stored in Mount Vernon with friends. Finally, the question at hand: I have inquired into a seasonal position with the IRS as a Tax Examiner here in NY. I do not wish in any way to negate my status as a Washington Resident. Can I accept this temporary position while having my status as a Washington Resident remain in tact? OR is it necessary for me to return to Washington to work until summer courses begin? I would appreciate some guidance in this matter as soon as possible, as other family members and "care plans" hinge on your answer. Sincerely, Scott Deegan (516) 218-0552 sdeegan@hotmail.com ps. I have also left a phone message with your area. Thank you very much. --------------2368BC3AF57D567F84DB3960-- .
