This form identifies him as "an alien paroled". His I-94 is stamped "Paroled until: Jun 15 2000 Purpose: To pursue application for adjustment of status" and dated Jun 16 1999. He told me he travels for Microsoft and returned from a trip last week and that is why his I-94 is date stamped just last week. He is not a "refugee". He is not currently in possession of a visa, though until he received this "authorization", he was in possession of an L-1 visa, which inherently is ineligible to establish residency. All his other documents confirm his eligibility for residency. He has not had his interview for adjustment of status. Is he a "parolee"??? What does this "parole" status mean anyway?? I'm so confused!!! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Vicki Wheeler Bellevue Community College (425) 641-2205 vwheeler@bcc.ctc.edu .
