Does anyone have any references on standard procedures for avoiding pinpointing disease cases? ie. somehow manipulate your geocode process so the point location is not exact, calculation of rates, what about areas where limited cases (1 or 2 per county, for example) are present? Are there any standard procedures or legal requirements or do health departments/researchers make up their own confidentiality protocols?
