Track bikes generally run 1-2 cm smaller than your road frame size. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 5 Feb 1996 00:36:52 -0600 From: Mike Gladu To: Scott Chegwidden , mva@cycling.org Cc: hellyer@cycling.org Subject: Re: Looking for a cheap track bike. Howdy, Medici Pro-Pista Track Frame Silver with chrome fork, seat stays and chain stays - black logo's Frame Material: Columbus SL (brazed and lugged) with Campagnolo dropouts Fork: round, tapered tubes and classic flat-top sprinters crown - all chromed Serial #: 54 080 Dimensions: Top tube: 54.0 cm c:c Down tube: 59.0 cm c:c Seat tube: 53.0 cm c:c. 54.0 cm c:T (27.2 dia) Head tube: 14.0 cm f:f, 8cm c:c Wheelbase: 93-96 cm (54 cm front:bb, 39-42 r:bb) BB height: 29.0 cm (center of shell) ************************** Sugino AS 165 track cranks Campagnolo Record bb Campagnolo Record headset ************************** BB height measurement taken with Vittoria Corsa CX (28 mm) tires mounted on Campy Strada Hardox 700c rims. Would like to keep my (extra heavy-duty tandem sprint grade) wheels for my new bike, but the rest is available. If you need the 165 Sugino track cranks, then the price would go up $50 (track groups are getting rare around here, and if I'm forced to replace any of the track-specific parts I'll need every penny I can get). Hardly ridden, never raced. Four or five fixed gear test road rides - two times on the track. Makes a pretty nice sprint/points race bike and the fork is factory-drilled for a brake (short reach). I ride a 56 normally, but this 54 works OK with the seatpost all the way up (for my 30 inch inseam) and a flat stem. If this works for you, let me know. $450 (negotiable). Interested?
