Of course all circumstances that hold potential for war should be dealt with carefully and acutal war should be avoided as much as possible, after all, there is a thing called diplomacy(even though it seems to have mainstream support after the Cold War).... BUT, sometimes, situations arise where war is the only way to prevent more deaths...(think nazi germany or even our current "war on terrorism") it's like sacrificing lives to save more lives. i guess ultimately, it all depends on the POV of each individual...it's a sad fact that war is a reality~it's in the bible countless times and God condones it, though i wouldn't go as far to say that He encourages it. Bottomline: Humans are fickle, weak, and "gee-dok-han" creatures...there are not enough people in the world who think war is completely preventable and as long as this is the case, war will continue to exist...and i also think it's important to keep in mind that as much as there are losses in war, the fact that there are gains for the victors may also account for this. anyways, that's my two cents...oh, and thanks for clearing up how FOG fits into the equation, it makes sense, i agree with you! :) :) Joyce I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength...
