Want to see how your training is paying off? About once a month I'll be going out to Marymoor to time myself over a few different distances. This is a great way to see how your body is responding to training. The next dry Friday (hopefully this one!) Kerri and I will be going out there around noon or 1pm. I'm planing on doing regular track distances(200m, 1k, 3k), but we can time you over what ever distance you like. We've got room in our car for two more people plus bikes. Let me know if you'd like to go. Your road bike is fine for this! Don't worry if you've never riden at a velodrome before. Marymoor is a very shallow, long track. In fact you can stand completely still in the corners and still not have to worry about sliding. Most any road bike will have plenty of clearance for your pedals in the corners. Who knows, you might like riding out there so much that you'll start track racing next year! If you've got any questions, let me know. cheers, Michael plus - there's no chance you'll hear my brakes squel! __ Michael S. Pierce Physics Department University of Washington .
