Subject: WAPHGIS: boundaries for WA school/legislative districts

If WA PH GISers need legislative boundaries or school district 
boundaries, send me a note. Tell me the format as I might be able to 
provide them in a variety of formats. Apparently DOT has this info. Not 
sure if its exactly up to date, but we think so. 

If you have boundaries to offer that are public domain, please let us all 
know. There is no restriction for just WA. For example I am collecting 
boundaries for Kenya & Tanzania.  I emphasize "public domain" since a lot 
of boundary files that you might be using in your organization are 
licensed from some vendor like GDT or similar. Anything you have out of 
the US Census, or USGS or that you have put together yourself from public 
sources is OK. By sharing these files you can save people a lot of time 
and money. 

If you know of web sites that have free or for that matter change for 
data, I will try to make a comprehensive list for our upcoming web site. 
Also if you find some hidden recess in one of the big sources like USGS 
that most of us might miss, please let us know. If you state has a data 
resource, I'll try to make a list of those too. 

I am getting some requests to re-send some of the web sites I have been 
passing on. I always try to put WAPHGIS in the mailing heading  so that 
you can spot our messages and by pass them until later or dump them 
easily.
