Graduate Students" Cc: Lynn Girardeau Subject: Winter 1996 Registration/Status Message-Id: Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII The Dept. of Civil Engineering Winter Quarter 1996 Time Schedule and a tentative schedule of 1995-96 graduate courses is available for students in the Advising Office - 201A More Hall. The University Time Schedule is out and is available in Schmitz Hall or the third floor of Loew Hall - College of Engineering Advising Office. The University Time Schedule also is available on UWIN and is updated daily. Be sure to choose O - Other, "Select different quarter", to access Winter Quarter 1996 once you are in the Time Schedule Main Menu. Registration for graduate students begins November 15th. You should take advantage of this priority date especially if you want to take 400 level courses or courses in other departments. If you will be registering for 599(A), 600, 700, or 800 level courses, faculty ID numbers are available in the Advising Office. Please stop by and complete an independent study/thesis/dissertation program card and I will give you the faculty ID number for your advisor/instructor. Graduate students must be registered every quarter except Summer to remain in the Graduate Program. If you do not register for Winter Quarter, you must petition to go "On Leave" to maintain graduate status. On Leave petition forms are available in the C.E. Advising Office. If you register and decide later to withdraw, you may do so during the first week of the quarter without any financial penalty and still remain in the "system". If you withdraw before the quarter begins, you must go On Leave. If you are a new graduate student, you may pick up a University General Catalog without charge from the Office of Graduate Admissions, 98 Gerberding Hall. If you have any questions regarding registration, graduate student status, or departmental policies/procedures, please see me in the Advising Office. Lorna Fitzpatrick, Graduate Program Assistant .
