MCCORMICK Thursday, March 4, 7-9 p.m. Garfield Community Center 2323 E. Cherry Street, Seattle Here is your opportunity to meet Richard L. McCormick, president of the University of Washington, and to discuss the relationship between the UW and your community. The event is sponsored by MAP the University of Washington Alumni Association's Multicultural Alumni Partnership and co-sponsored by MOSAIC. THIS CONVERSATION IS OPEN TO ALL PEOPLE--YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. Admission is Free Seating is limited Refreshments provided Let's keep the Dream Alive Stand Up, speak out and be counted For more information: phone (206) 685-9274. Friends and Colleagues: Please remember that the University of Washington is one of the largest employers in the Puget Sound region, has one of the largest alumni assoications in the nation, and receives more research funding than any public university in America. To date, very few of UW's resources are shared with underrepresented communities. President McCormick has vowed to make the University of Washington more of a community partner than it has been in the past and he needs YOUR input. Personally, I would like to see the University of Washington do more to help underrepresented populations. I believe in President McCormick and that this is a sincere effort on his part to connect with his community. It is my hope that this conversation is attended by a mosaic of people who reflect the rich diversity of our region. Please take time out of your busy schedules to let him know what YOU think, after all, he can not help us if he doesn't know what we need. --Terryl Ross President, MOSAIC UWMOSAIC LISTSERV MOSAIC is facilitated by UW graduate students who are committed to promoting the positive aspects of diversity, on and off campus.
