Mannering" To: faculty@ce.washington.edu Subject: faculty position (fwd) Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering & Environmental Engineering University of Wisconsin-Platteville The College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is dedicated to teaching undergraduates to be proficient engineers and invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level effective, Fall, 1999. The position is ideal for someone who would enjoy teaching environmental engineering courses as his or her primary responsibility. There are opportunities for research, consulting, and other professional development activities as well. In addition to teaching, responsibilities of the position include advising undergraduate students, program development for a new B.S. degree in environmental engineering that has recently been added to the College's offerings, and university/community service. Candidates must have a PhD in civil or environmental engineering. The successful applicant will have teaching experience, practical experience, and a background in two or more of the following: solid and hazardous waste, occupational & environmental health, hydrology, wastewater management, and environmental systems modeling. UW-Platteville is a comprehensive university in the UW System and offers ABET-accredited degree programs in civil, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering.
