Note that her contact info is at the bottom if you have remaining questions. Julia Dilley Clarification of Quit Line services: The WA State Quit Line offers individualized 45 minute counseling sessions to all tobacco users who call, followed up with a mailed Quit Kit. Callers may call the Quit Line as many times as they need to for more support. If a caller is uninsured or on Medicaid and is willing to attempt to quit tobacco use within 30 days, they will be asked if they are interested in the Free and Clear program. This is a proactive telephone counseling program with 5 follow-up calls over six months. Once enrolled in Free and Clear, if the client expresses interest in nicotine replacement therapy and has no medical contraindications (and is over 18 years old), they will be offered a course of nicotine replacement therapy. Caveats: 1. The client must call the Quit Line--no one else can call for them. 2. The client must be uninsured or on Medicaid to receive intensive services. 3. The client must participate in Free and Clear to receive NRT. If you have further questions, please contact me at karen.krueger@doh.wa.gov or 360 236-3611. Julia Dilley's e-mail about contacting Karen Krueger should give you the ultimate answers and clear up this mess for you. Karen would also have the phone number for Free and Clear which I believe is run by Group Health. Carolina .
