Try running the DNS server interactively and see if it errors out.  If
it does, then either fix the problem or post the error message here.  If
it doesn't, then you have to start DNS so that it logs to a file, and
then look at the file.

There are lots of things that will kill a DNS server, and you just gotta
go through the diagnostic process step by step.
