One of the sections mentions a facility and very briefly what it can do. Then, it links to the facility's web page. The web page provides all sorts of interesting information about the facility's capabilities that isn't in the short paragraph. So, my question is as follows: in building the index is it "o.k." to use the terms I've pulled from the in-depth page and use them to send the reader to the short paragraph. My concern is that when the reader sees the index entry and follows it the paragraph, they aren't going to know why they were sent there. As I and the author don't have control over the in-depth pages, I can't set up any links within the in-depth pages (I am referencing the page, however). So, I'm limited to where I can send the reader. If someone could shed some light on whether I'm being attentive to detail or rambling off in silly directions on this index, I would be great appreciate it.
