The Governor's Internship Program, Dept. of Information Services, has an
immediate need for a Communications Intern.

Internship Position UG 562
Undergraduate Intern II
Salary Range 25E $1.806-$2,071

Position Description:
This position primarily assist with ACCESS WASHINGTON-the Washington State
Internet portal: including proofreading and formatting state news stories
for webmaster use, editing/drafting lead stories for front page, and
determining appropriate graphics for related news stories on web
site.  Also assists with research, writing and proofreading news stories
and supporting communications programs for InsideDIS-the Dept. of
Information Services, intranet, and InsideWashington-the Washington State
intranet.  Provides assistance in scanning regional press for coverage of
DIS, maintains clipping files and distributes weekly news clips.

Desirable Qualifications:
Pursing Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or English major.
