Here is one for you: I just downloaded and installed webROCKET from Ascentive. http://www.ascentive.com They claim to double your effective internet speed by optimizing internal buffers and allowing for simultaneous two-way transfers (near as I can tell). This improvement is supposed to work for ALL types of connections, from modems to broadband. Well, it works for me. It has almost doubled my throughput. In a straight "speed test", my dual-channel ISDN went from averaging 86kB/s to 113kB/s. Apparant speed has easily doubled since that involves all of the handshaking needed for loading web pages and reacting to user inputs. Cost: about $35. Well worth it so far and no side effects. Ron .
