I have been working with Kathy Volski (NCCA, SW Conf. Dir) in regards to the NCCA side of things. Since this is the first ever coll. cross natz, we are treating this as a "test race," hoping to get plenty of feedback. For the collegiate side of things, there will be a Men's and Women's category - no classes. There is no regulation in regards to using a pure cross bike or a MTB bike for the event. The field is unlimited and there is NO team overall. However, the individual winner (men and women's cat) will be awarded a Stars and Stripes jersey. Medals will also be awarded to the Top 5 finishers and nominated as All-Americans. BTW, the race is 45min. long. For those of you newcomers who are interested in possibly racing for the Huskies at Coll. Cross Natz, the only "legal" paperwork you need is for you to get an NCCA License. One-Day licenses will not be available for the event. If you would like to see what cross is all about, consider volunteering as corner marshalls.
