First, a bardic challenge! With the generous permission of Their Excellencies as well as the stewards of this fine event, and in keeping wit= h the theme of the Classical Revival of the Renaissance, I challenge one and all to compose, create or otherwise write down a poem, verse or brief story of tribute to a lady of your choice. The only requirements: 1) Your composition must be one of praise for a Lady that in some way includes at least one personality or theme from Greek or Roman Mythology. **Special consideration will be given to a poem, verse or story of praise for our gracious Baroness, her Excellency, Anne Marie, d=92Ailleures.** 2) Compose your entry before Baronial Banquet and deliver it to me at the site no later than 3 PM for consideration. PLEASE UNDERSTAND: Your composition does NOT need to be composed on-site, it simply needs to be delivered to me at the site by 3 PM, that day. The prize: A dagged liripipe-hood which can be worn by lord or lady and eve= n shaped into that latest of fashion crazes, the 'chaperon'. But Wait! There IS still more! My household, Cheval Rouge, is again sponsoring a table-decorating contest at Baronial Banquet on the theme of the event. So break-out your crystal =96 so to speak :D =96 as well as you= r late period style laces and linens, pewter and silver, and all of your othe= r luxury table-settings and brush up on your Greek mythological themes to dec= k out your tables in rich array that we may all dine in splendour. Fine prizes await the winners! If there is anyone out there with access to the PDL, Wyewood or BAO Lists who would be so kind as to forward this post on to those good gentles= , I would be most grateful. And if there are any questions regarding either o= f the challenges, please do not hesitate to contact me. Ever in Service, Cymbric of the Isles __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
