THE CENTER ON CONTEMPORARY ART (CoCA) 7TH ANNUAL PAINTING MARATHON AND BENEFIT AUCTION WHAT: A 24-hour painting marathon by 17 of Seattle's top painters followed immediately by a benefit auction. WHO: Artists: Billy Davis, Shawn Ferris, Geoff Garza, Kevin Hanson, Sean Hurley, Marc Lindsay, Tim Marsden, Randy McCoy, Cheri O'Brien, Dirk Park, Parris, Marion Peck, Terry Stephens, Curtis Taylor, Whiting Tennis, David Tupper, Allison Woods WHEN: Painting Marathon: Friday, October 15th through Saturday, October 16th. 2:00 to 2:00 p.m. Benefit Auction: Saturday, October 16th. PAINTING MARATHON Doors open at 6 p.m., Friday, October 15th. Painting continues through Saturday, October 16th. The Painting Marathon is your opportunity to see 17 local artists in action. Part performance, part sleep-deprived inspiration, these artists are under the gun to create work to be sold the next night. The public is welcome to drop in any time between 6 p.m. Friday night and noon on Saturday to support their favorite artists. Be a muse, a model, pose au naturel, fetch coffee, or sneak them a sip of spirits or a smoke- whatever keeps them stimulated throughout the night. This is also your chance to preview art as it is created and prepare a bidding strategy for the Auction the following night. Spirits are available during legal hours. Coffee is available 24 hours. THE BENEFIT AUCTION Doors open for Auction Preview and Silent Auction at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 16th. Live Auction gets cracking at 9 p.m. Going once! Going twice! Sold!
