To: ph-assess@u.washington.edu Subject: VISTA 9.0 Release Watch X-mailer: Connect2-SMTP 4.00 MHS to SMTP Gateway Well, you will all be happy to know that I have installed 1998 STD, TB, Communicable Disease AND preliminary BIRTH data into the new release (this includes zipcode level data for CommDis and Birth data)!!! The DOH programs are to thank for this - they all responded with less than a weeks notice! The 1992-1995 imputed Abortion data has also been completed by Yun Bauer and installed into VISTA!! An explanation of these corrections will accompany the release. I have done some quick checks comparing the 1998 data to previous years and the data appears to be installed correctly. I will try to have more checks done before the release. Additionally, I met with Paul Price one last time and he feels confident that VISTA is Y2K compliant. This week we should have legal review and approval of the letter that will be sent to personnel about specific applications. We should be able to send you all letters stating VISTA Y2K compliance by next week. >From Jim Allen: Sorry, but couldn't quite finish building the new population data. Actually, I had all 3100 files created, but I had overlooked one step - aggregating races into a race total. I don't have to recreate the files, but I do have to fix them. Zip-based counts will now be shown to two decimals in Vista output. I plan to have a long sleep, then come back tonight to finish the job. Plan to go to Olympia Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! Julie and The VISTA Partnership Team (good name for a music band, huh?) .
