The theme of this Colloquium is "Our Safe Living Environment: The Changing Face of Spatial Systems". The colloquium is divided into 4 major themes: Health, Business, the Environment and Spatial Research. The increased use of spatial systems for analysis, support, research and education within each of these themes demonstrates the changing face of spatial systems. This colloquium aims to bring people together from each of these evolving areas to promote new techniques and a greater understanding of the possible applications for spatial systems in the future. Further details of this exciting event may be found on the web site: http://divcom.otago.ac.nz/sirc/default.html On behalf of the Organising Committee, SIRC, NIHI, the University of Auckland, the University of Otago and sponsoring organisations, you are extended a warm invitation to attend and/or present your work at this colloquium. Looking forward to meeting you in Dunedin. Dr. Peter A. Whigham --------------------------- Call For Papers and Posters --------------------------- Professionals in all areas of spatial information are invited to present their work by submitting paper and/or poster proposals to SIRC '99.
