Taking up, rather belatedly, the thread on liaisons between gods and
mortals, can the list think of any examples of fathers coming to the rescue
of, or supporting, daughters who have been raped by a god?  Most of the
fathers in myth seem to punish their daughters in some way or another, and
certainly do not seem to believe their stories of being raped by a god.
