However, I work for the South African KwaZulu Natal Nature Conservation Service a parastatal provincial custodian institution of at least 50 protected areas, as an environmental education officer. I will be graduating as a master in environmental education in April 1999 after having handed in my thesis entitled : the role of indigenous knowledge within environmental education processes in January 1999. I have written 4 booklets for use by schools that combines indigenous knowledge concepts with scientific concepts and I am the president of the Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa a membership organisation that organises a conference once a year and publishes a scientific journal and a bulletin. We are presntly editing a monograph on indigenous knowledge that will be out for sale early next year. I am availing myself, if there is anyway that i could be involved in your plans next year as well as make you aware of our existence as an organised Association of Southern Africa. Our conference this year will be in the South East part of South Africa in Grahamstown. We would be very pleased if you would show interest and would send you details about it. Thank You Lynette Masuku .
