Graduate Students" , CEADVICE Cc: Seneor@orphee.polytechnique.fr Subject: Opportunity for Study at Ecole Polytechnique in France Message-Id: Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII A new admission procedure at the Ecole Polytechnique was established last year to recruit more foreign students, male and female, via a special entrance examination. The ultimate goal is to admit approximately one hundred non-French nationals per year. The admission procedures for the 1997-1998 academic year begin now. Ecole Polytechnique is seeking candidates who have completed from two to three years of university studies and who have a pronounced ability in mathematics and physics. Entrants will join the 400 French students selected as the best of their generation in these subjects, to pursue a common educational program. The two-year program covers all of the fundamental sciences and aims at imparting a wide range of knowledge. The diploma conferred gives to graduates the credentials for entering a Ph.D. or other advanced programs or a professional school. Please let me know if you are interested in applying for this program and I will contact Roland Seneor, Director of External Relations for Ecole Polytechnique; so that he can contact you directly. The Deadline for Receipt of the Completed Applications is January 15, 1997. Application forms are available from Ecole Polytechnique - International Admissions Office, 91128 Palaiseau Cedex, France.
