Joe and Maria Shaw are retiring, and the University of Toronto is
apparently not planning to replace them.  Current students have mounted a
campaign to preserve Aegean Bronze Age Studies at the University of
Toronto. 

All who are interested are encouraged to write (hardcopy) letters to the 
appropriate university officials.

The Toronto students have created a website to monitor the situation; it 
carries updates and the addresses of whom to write to:
