Currently Goodall shares chkout space with Saul, however with the recent global password changes, Goodall users no longer automatically have an entry in the Saul passwd file. Thus Goodall users will not have to create a Saul account just to use chkout. To implement this change, next Tuesday the chkout program will allocate Goodall disk requests on the new /sg1 filesystem and not on the current /ss2 filesystem. Goodall users will still have access to any /ss2 chkout space they have at that time, but after 7 days (Sep 23), the /ss2 filesystem will be unmounted from Goodall, completing the transition. A notice will be posted later this afternoon. -- Tom Remmers remmers@u.washington.edu Software Engineer University Computing Services (206) 543-4756 University of Washington Mailstop 354843 .
