I have a photo of the sign in my Greek Church in Captivity, though it appears to indicate 2 streets at right angles to each other. Yes, as I recall, it  is on the left when you are trudging uphill towards the Byzantine city.  I have a photo of the sign in my Greek Church in Captivity, though it appears to indicate 2 streets at right angles to each other.
