This may be premature, as I am only a beginning indexing student, but I'm starting to think about software & would like your opinions. For a while I got Index-L mail (until it got too voluminous for someone with 40+ hours of another job to read!) & everyone seemed to mainly use Cindex. Since I've worked in Windows for years, I 'm not interested in DOS -based programs, and Cindex for windows requires Win 95. We like 3.1, have no wish for Win95. SKY seems to be indexing software that we could use & Web site shows an endorsement by Nancy Mulvany. Are any of you using it? Thanks! >> I was a beta tester for Sky Index Pro. I think it's also a Windows 95 product; but if it will run under Win 3.1, I would have no problem recommending it as an alternative. Sky Index Standard edition (which I know DOES run under 3.1) is also good for basic tasks but omits a lot of the features required by a professional indexer. As a side note, Cindex/DOS runs just fine in a Windows environment; you just don't have access to all the extra Windows capabilities. Carolyn Weaver Bellevue, WA .
