I'm puzzled by the lyrics of a song called 'amo vitam' by a band named
'Rosenstolz'.  Here are the lyrics:

amo vitam
amo generem
tamen quare sum sola
amo rosam
desidero pacem
tamen quare sum sola

They give a translation to the latin:

Ich liebe das Leben
Ich liebe den Sex
Doch warum bin ich einsam
Ich liebe die Rose 
Ich sehne mich nach Frieden
Doch warum bin ich einsam

The line that puzzles me is 'amo generem', which is translated as 'ich
liebe den Sex'.  I can't find the form 'generem' in my dictionary.
Perhaps the misspelt accusative of 'gener' or a bastardized version of
'genus'?  -- but then the german translation doesn't really work.
Anyone have a clue?

The song, by the way, is a must for anyone enamoured by German accents.
