My impression was that rides typically leave at the same time on Saturday and Sunday, to avoid confusing the riders. The rides start out at 10am in the off season when people aren't all that interested in getting up early or going on long rides. When more people get serious and less are lazy, the time gets grudgingly moved earlier to 9am, although there are always some who don't quite make it by 9. eric eric@soroos.net .
