Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII I'm trying to figure out IRC with BitchX, and I have a question on how to modify the ident lookups so that it doesn't return a tilde in my lookup information. when I'm connected, and type "/whois", my ident information shows up with a tilde in front of my hostname information. For example, it'll be like: (~jingsu@S5-133-1.student.washington.edu) [Educational Institute] But, some servers that I connect to get confused by that prefixing tilde in the ident information, and refuse to let me connect. I know the source of this must be in BitchX, because I've fired up mIRC and that returns different ident information. Anyone know what I set to change this? I've actually browsed through the source a bit, but there's a bunch of tildes in the source code as well as many snprintf calls, which makes tracking down the source location hard. There's also no mention of this in the BitchX faq or doc (atleast I haven't found it). TIA. .
