Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that Suzanne Pharr, author or
'Homophobia: Weapon of Sexism"  and "In the Time of the Right" will be
speaking at Red & Black Books (432-15th Ave E) on Feb 27 at 7:30.  I'm
not sure if you're familiar with her books...she wrote the first one to
directly address the lesbian baiting in attempts to shut down
antidomestic violence organizing.   The second book is a response to
far right organizing against gay people and trying to pit people of
color against gay people.  She examines some of the links between
homophobia and racism. She's a great speaker, and the event is free of
charge.
