Full details may be found at http://www.bio.mq.edu.au/consbio/ The theme of the meeting, Biodiversity Conservation : Myths and Realities, and the speakers in the Plenary Symposium have now been arranged. We put out the call for papers and abstracts in the November 1997 SCB newsletter. This includes a list of Symposia, Workshops and their convenors. The deadline for submission of abstracts is now past and we have had a very encouraging response with over 400 papers submitted. The May 1998 newsletter will contain more detailed information on the program outline, and the February 1998 issue contained details of social and other activities, travel and accommodation arrangements including important information for overseas visitors and information on pre-conference and post-conference tours. This information will be updated from time to time so please keep checking this site. Details on registration are also available and an encrypted on-line registration form operating on a secure server is now available for you to register. Early (discounted) registration closes on April 30 and normal registration closes May 31.
