Just wanted to let you all know about the Aegis sponsorship. Aegis is a framebuilder in Maine that is trying to get into collegiate cycling. Their frames are carbon-fiber and Kestrel-like, not super light but they sprint and climb well (they are stiff). They sent us a large (60+ cm) frame to demo last year and will be sending us a 56cm 1997 model sometime this month. The 60cm bike currently lives at my house but it will most likely be shipped back to the company soon; let me know if you'd like to see it. Aegis has offered us a pro-deal on their frames as well as on complete component kits (Shimano and Campy). Component kits can be ordered separately (no frame purchase necessary). If anyone is interested in a frame or a component kit (for your *own* bikes) email me and I'll send you a pricelist. I think this is better than broadcasting it to the whole uwracing list. In general the prices are about 25% lower than mail-order prices. Hope to ride with you all (or at least some of you) soon. Ta .
