Deadline: Feb 1. Applications will be available until Jan 15. Funds: The foundation expects to award about 40 one-year grants ranging from $2,000 to $7,000, and five two-year grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Eligibility: Women who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, and AAUW branches. Tip: AAUW will give consideration to AAUW brand and state applicants who seek partners for collaborative projects. Collaborators may include local schools and school districts, businesses and other community-based organizations. Areas: Projects must have direct public impact, be nonpartisan and take place within the United States or its territories. Past project examples include math and science camps; gender equity training; curriculum development; sexual harrassment workshops for faculty and students; and mentoring programs.
