Flores" To: apoga@u.washington.edu Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Dear Members (Ha! haven't heard that greeting in a while), Here's the stuff I promised to e-mail you at the GBM (and a few extra things as well). 1. PLEDGE INDUCTION We can all thank Stephanie for stepping up. Even though she's very busy with work and school, Stephanie took this opportunity to reserve a room for the induction. I know you are all probably tired of hearing me rant on and on about being there for your pledges, but hopefully you know that I mean well. I'll spare you the "ranting" this time and give you the main details: WHO: All of you! WHEN: Friday October 25th, 2002 @ 6:00pm WHERE: Where it's always been, Lander 132 WHY: Because it's moral support for the pledges In addition, I think we're going to change it up this year and save you guys some money and give you more fun. Hopefully, if all goes well, we'll just head down to Dick's or another great and cheap eatery afterwards and possibly play some cosmic bowling (or just bowling). So, I'm not asking that you were gowns and tuxes to the Induction, just a nice pair of slacks and a collared shirt. 2. Extra Credit!!! We're college students and we all love extra credit. What can I say? It makes up for that lazy Tuesday morning class when I just can't get out of bed. Anyway, this extra credit is a little better. Instead of grades (hmm, how can we compute that anyway), I'm having it so that you can get your MEMBERSHIP DUES waivered! That's right folks, we'll give you Spring Semester's Dues free!!! Now that I have your attention, how do you get it. Well, here's a list that I've come up with. The point system for each individual item hasn't been made up yet, but you do get points for: - Visiting officers at their office hours (I think this is easiest - just grab lunch and hang out) - Exceed the minimum of 15 service hours for the semester - Participation and attendence during meetings (extra extra credit will be given to brothers who attend pledge meetings and pledges who attend GBMs) - Paying dues on time (or earlier if applicable) - Filling out questionnaire bio about respective pledge/parent (TBA) That's pretty much it. There's more opportunity for the pledges that don't apply to you guys (i.e. score on the pledge test). I'll try to come up with the point system as soon as I can. in lfs - cflo _____________ Pledge Master APO - GA 2002 (206)465-9589 .
