Regarding a particular male, the question was asked if he was married or single. The conversation continued: "He doesn't look gay." "What do you mean?" "You can tell if someone is gay." "How?" "You know, they have their own lifestyle." A lively discussion regarding this incident took place at today's meeting. It included coming out, sterotyping, job risks, openess, Choice, diversity of the G/L community. We decided to continue the discussion next week and invite people to the forum: "What constitutes antigay language & how do you cope?" Tuesday, December 3, 1996, 1:00pm-2:00pm; Perkins 712 Come share your insights on how to respond to antigay statements. Updates: Planned guest lecturer ?March 1997 (women's hx month) Art & Lecture Committe will grant some funds. Other groups have not responded to our invite as yet.
