The colloquium will take place from 12:00 to 1:30. It is sponsored by the Political Science Department. Professor Blasius teaches political science at the City University of New York (Graduate School and Laguardia College), and is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Gay and Lesbian Research Institute of the University of Southern California. He is the author of GAY AND LESBIAN POLITICS: SEXUALITY AND THE EMERGENCE OF A NEW ETHIC (Temple University Press) as well as several articles on political theory. His book, WE ARE EVERYWHERE: A HISTORICAL SOURCEBOOK OF GAY AND LESBIAN POLITICS (coedited with Shane Phelan) has recently been published by Routledge. Professor Blasius is also the editor of a special issue of GLQ: A JOURNAL OF LESBIAN AND GAY STUDIES devoted to lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender politics, to be published later this month. .
