FIELD ASSISTANTS NEEDED FOR

FOREST CARNIVORE STUDY

Field assistants needed for a graduate study of fishers in northwestern Montana.  Assistants will assist with an assessment of the distribution of fishers in and around the Cabinet Mountains.  Employees will assist with all aspects of the research including snow tracking, trapping, data input, and maintenance of field equipment.  Applicants should possess: a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and be willing to work long hours in demanding field conditions.  Other desirable qualifications include: tracking experience, physical stamina, and familiarity with the operation of snowmobiles.  This is a great opportunity to gain winter field experience researching carnivores in a beautiful location.  The position will start in early January and run until early April.  Two positions will be filled.  Employees will work as research assistants for the University of Montana and be reimbursed $1000/month with housing provided.
