I know you are rip roaring to tear into some fun service projects for the year, and i'm your gal =) Two ways to sign up for these projects, either in person at the GBM this WED(6:30 Sav239), or by email to me (jax@u.washington.edu). With no further ado.....ahemn * sat 10/7: NW harvest 10-1pm We need around 5-7 people to help sort food and other perishables to send where they are needed. On a bus route, but if you can drive let me know! * Th 10/12: Union Gospel Mission 7-9pm Come serve food at the mens shelter downtown, a great way to see in person those who you are helping. 6 people max on this one. * Sat and sun 10/14&15: Burke Museum 11-3pm This weekend is the Making of the Masks =) A fun activity to help out at the kids weekend at the burke, very close to campus too. This is limited to two people per day though, so sign up early! * Sat 10/21: University Food bank at Husky Stadium 1:30-3:30pm Convenient location since we are all cheering on our dawgs =) For this project we will be selling apple tins to the fans before the game to raise money for our local food bank....the more the merrier on this one! * Th 10/26: NW Aids foundation 5-8pm Located on Broadway, just a bus ride from campus, come help make safe sex packets for the local seattle folk. * 10/28: Pacific Science Center 9-1pm This will be a rockin' project helping out at the craft tables for the reptile and amphibian show down at the seattle center.
