I dont know if yoiu can do it with Netscape at all, but there are plenty 
of free-ish FTP programs for Mac or Windows.  Try download.com for 
whatever your platform is.  CuteFTP is a good one for Windows, and 
Anarchie and Fetch are good for Mac.  But in order to log on to FTP site 
non-anonymously you need a password anyway, and the availiblity of such 
a thing would depnd on the sort of site it is, and is usually reserved 
for site admins, or people who contribute or whatever.  You can always 
mail the siteop and ask for a password...
