Kathleen Coleman's Oxford commentary on the *Liber Spectaculorum* is not yet published. 2. L.C. and P.A. Watson of Sydney are working on a selection from Martial for the Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics ('green and gold') series. 3. The three English dissertations I know of are: John Jenkins, "A Commentary on Selected Epigrams from Martial Book 10", Cambridge, 1981. M. N. R. Bowie, "Martial Book XII: A Commentary", Oxford, 1989. Richard C. George, "Martial, Book 3, 1-68: A Commentary", Oxford, 1994. So far as I know, there are no plans to publish any of them as books. 4. There is an excellent commentary on Book I by Mario Citroni: *M. Valerii Martialis Epigrammaton Liber I*, Firenze, 1975. As many reviewers noted, it's unfortunate that Citroni and Howell have both published detailed commentaries on Book I, when so many other books are still unclaimed. 5. I can't find my copy of the one of them I own, but I believe there have been two small-scale Italian commentaries on the *Liber Spectaculorum*. One by U. Carratello (1981) is in print, though I haven't seen it.
