Erwin Sent: Friday, February 08, 2002 7:14 PM To: UW Linux Group Subject: Re: Catalog of campus mailing lists? I must correct the mailing lists posting... All those commands: "lists" /local /global and such are not allowed in uw's list server program.. they claim these commands take too much bandwidth and such.... so you're forced to keep any list serv attachment emails you've received to know what the group name is so you can unsubscribe.. there's a list of public campus mailing lists on their web page somewheres.. you can search for them... and that is where I found this group... the linux group.. I'm planning two servers to add to my farm.. a linux/apache ... server and a windows nt4 server.. server boxes are getting so cheap now (dell.com) such that I could hang two off my router very easily and with remote pc.. I could manage them easily too.. Any comments or suggestions are welcome..
